<p>When there is a special event coming up or a certain outfit  doesn&#8217;t fit, many people may rely on quick weight loss diets to be able  to fit into that special outfit or for that special occassion.  There  are plenty of different types of diet and weight loss plans that work  fast. However, there are drawbacks to these types of diets, and they  usually work only for a few days to lose 10 or less pounds.</p>
<p>The most popular types of fast weight loss diets are named quite  appropriately-fasts.  There are juice fasts, like The Hollywood Diet  (named because a lot of celebrities use them), and require a person to  drink juice and a lot of water for two days, and losing up to 8 pounds.  It uses actual juice so it isn&#8217;t terribly unhealthy, but it is important  to note that once the diet stops, most of that weight is going to come  back, and usually bring more with it .One type of fast that has gained  popularity around the country is the lemonade diet, or more commonly  called the Master Cleanse.  The lemonade is made from fresh squeezed  lemons, cayenne pepper, fresh spring water, and organic grade B maple  syrup.  This diet can actually be done for up to 7 days but since no  solid food is allowed except the lemonade, a special herbal tea and a  salt water flush, most don&#8217;t last that long.  This fast diet actually  does have a few healthy benefits, as it flushes the entire body of  toxins and makes the body feel lighter. It can also cause vomiting,  nausea, and dizziness, so if any of these are experienced, one should  stop immediately. Diet and weight loss shouldn&#8217;t make anyone unhealthy.</p>
<p>Another fast weight loss diet is the three-day diet, which is  comprised of a very strict meal plan to stay on for three days straight.  It is extremely low-calorie, so one may not be able to exercise while  doing this diet. This fast weight loss diet plan is relatively  well-balanced.  It does include most regular foods and may not make a  person as sick as a fast/detox would. Other food based diets like this  is the grapefruit diet and the cabbage soup diet. These have been also  found to be an appropriate diet for weight loss, and may not cause any  immediate health concerns. These types of diets should only be done for a  few days, and stopped immediately after weight loss is achieved. One of  the most popular diet for weight loss is the Slim-Fast plan. Drink two  shakes a day, eat fruits and vegetables through the day, and then have a  full, balanced meal for dinner. This diet can be done for a longer  period of time, but it is important to drink water as much as possible  to avoid dehydration. Quick weight loss diets do work, and they should  only be used for a short time.</p>

A nutrition diet is usually constructed by a doctor  or certified health professional and should not be too restrictive in  nature.</p>
<p>One of the oldest, most basic nutrition-based diets is the food  pyramid.  It is the U.S. Department of Agriculture&#8217;s guide to health and  nutrition. It includes the recommended servings of each food group, and  is a great start for children to learn how to eat healthy, learn about  portions and avoid junk food. Some modern nutritionists may denounce the  food pyramid, saying that it is outdated and it is impossible to make  sure you get all of the recommended servings, but it is considered one  of the more popular nutritional diets. Combining a healthy diet and supplements may not seem  like a bad idea, but they can also cause serious health risks in the  long run if not used properly.</p>
<p>So what do these supplements do? They for the most part enhance the  quality of the body&#8217;s performance in order to achieve greater results.  There are many diet supplements that are made with naturally occuring  vitamins and minerals, and are usually healthier for the body to take  in. As a result, they usually gain all the weight back that they  lose, and end up yo-yo dieting, which puts almost unbearable strain on  the body and even causes heart and digestive problems in the long run.  So, although these types of diet nutrition supplements are popular and  promise fast results, is it worth being sick for?</p>
<p>The best diet supplement there is lies in the dedication a person has  to their own health and body performance.  Focused dedication to a  weight loss or training goal by itself may not render the fastest  results around, but it is definitely healthier and a lot cheaper! A  person should teach themselves how to eat right and exercise  consistently to remain healthy; the great body will come along with it.
