This diet can actually be done for up to 7 days but since no solid food is allowed except the lemonade, a special herbal tea and a salt water flush, most don’t last that long. This fast diet actually does have a few healthy benefits, as it flushes the entire body of toxins and makes the body feel lighter. It can also cause vomiting, nausea, and dizziness, so if any of these are experienced, one should stop immediately. Diet and weight loss shouldn’t make anyone unhealthy.
Another fast weight loss diet is the three-day diet, which is comprised of a very strict meal plan to stay on for three days straight. It is extremely low-calorie, so one may not be able to exercise while doing this diet. This fast weight loss diet plan is relatively well-balanced. It does include most regular foods and may not make a person as sick as a fast/detox would. Other food based diets like this is the grapefruit diet and the cabbage soup diet. These have been also found to be an appropriate diet for weight loss, and may not cause any immediate health concerns. These types of diets should only be done for a few days, and stopped immediately after weight loss is achieved. One of the most popular diet for weight loss is the Slim-Fast plan. Drink two shakes a day, eat fruits and vegetables through the day, and then have a full, balanced meal for dinner. This diet can be done for a longer period of time, but it is important to drink water as much as possible to avoid dehydration. Quick weight loss diets do work, and they should only be used for a short time.
